Sedona, Arizona

Sedona, Arizona

Sedona is an oasis in the desert. Sitting at an elevation of about 5,000 feet above sea level, and surrounded by miles and miles of single track trails with scenic red rock vistas throughout, it is a must ride for any mt biker.

Camping Site

Here are my boys along the Oak Creek. This is right behind our camp site in the Manzaneta campground, located about 4 miles north of Sedona.

Bell Rock Pathway

Bell Rock Pathway

Here are the boys ready to ride. We didn't have a lot of time, and were looking for a pretty easy ride, so on my friend Matt's recommendation we rode the Bell Rock Pathway.

Bell Rock

The BRP is a very popular hiking and biking trail. It starts as a wide trail as you can see here, then tapers into single track. Ahead is the trails name sake, Bell Rock.

Of course the boys forgot their helmets. Good thing the trail was relatively flat and not very technical. Perfect for beginners.

Me and the Boy

There are tons of trails that shoot off of Bell Rock such as the Llama trail, and many more. I definately will be back again to explore them.

The BRP is just North of the Town of Oak Creek, which is just south of Sedona.

Riding in the Desert

We rode Oct 21 and the temperature was perfect. About 70 degrees and sunny.
