Josh, a recent high school graduate from Florida, was in town visiting his Uncle and decided to give mountain biking a try. He called DMBT to set up a few rides. Unfortunately we got rained out on Saturday when a hail and thunderstorm rolled through town, However we awoke Sunday to beautiful blue skies and super tacky trails. After a bit of a shaky start, and adjusting to the altitude, Josh and I rode 16 miles and 1,400 feet through Overend Mountain Park, Horse Gulch, and the Rim Trail.

DMBT operates by special use permit from the national forest service on lands in the San Juan National Forest, as well as permits from the City of Durango and the Bureau of Land Management Tres Rios and Farmington field offices.
