Payton, a 15 year old multi sport athlete from Missouri, was on vacation in Durango with his family. Instead of hitting the zipline with his sisters, he wanted to “earn his turns”, and booked a tour with DMBT. I was thoroughly impressed with Payton’s riding ability as he was on my wheel for most of the two and half our tour, even after only mountain biking for two years. We ended up covering 17 miles and 1,800 feet climbing through Overend Mountain Park and Horse Gulch.

DMBT operates by special use permit from the national forest service on lands in the San Juan National Forest, as well as permits from the City of Durango and the Bureau of Land Management Tres Rios and Farmington field offices.
