At least once a summer I have to get up to Kennebec Pass and ride the Colorado Trail down. It really is an iconic Durango ride. On this particular occasion I rode with Tyler and Lauren, two of my Dirt Lovers guides. My buddy Randy dropped us off on La Plata Canyon Road about 6 miles and 2,500 feet from the start of the trail. In all we covered 30 miles and 4,800 feet elevation gain.
