Capitol Reef National Park is located in south-central Utah, a 5 1/2 hour drive from Durango,  in the heart of red rock country. This park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles. Just got back from a weekend trip with Tracy where we did some camping and hiking.
