Neil, an electrical engineer working at the University of Maryland doing mostly research, and his son Michael, a highschool junior who races mountain bikes for his schools team, had one day to ride in Durango and wanted to make sure their experience would be unforgettable. So they called Durango Mountain Bike Tours. Father and son were both great riders and up for the challenge. We knocked out 17.9 miles and 1,785 feet climbing in 2 1/2 hours, getting the boys back in time for lunch with the rest of the family. We only scratched the surface and made plans to ride again in the near future.
