Just a short ride south of Durango lies an amazing mix of terrain including one of the largest selections of slickrock in New Mexico. 

You can find it all here – swooping flow trail, rim riding, slickrock sessioning, and tight turns among the pinons and junipers. Stronger riders can add the Outer limits loop for rocky climbs and plunging downhills.

Bike Magazine chose Alien Run to represent New Mexico in a March 2008 guide to the 50 states. 

Alien Run can be ridden when other trails are under snow or muddy. There are years when you can ride out there all winter.
